Obesity is a major public health issue in the U.S., and there are particular concerns about how obesity affects vulnerable populations. This session examines diet and weight among mothers and children. Yakusheva examines whether post-partum weight retention exceeds normal weight gain with age. Coyer examines the impact of maternal employment on household food purchases. Cantor examines the impact of SNAP on childhood obesity.
