Obesity remains an urgent public health problem in the U.S. and many other countries worldwide. This session consists of three papers on the topic of the economics of food choice and obesity. First, David Frisvold presents on the impact of persistent WIC participation on food consumption. Second, Barton Willage presents on the effect of obesity on mental health. Third, Ashlesha Datar presents on self-control and youth diet and obesity.
