Cash Markets in Health Care

This session focuses on consumer decision making and provider prices in markets where consumers pay for health care with cash. Included papers include the impact of sizable cash-paying populations on hospital charges, outpatient visit prices charged to uninsured customers, and relationship between cash and negotiated prices for imaging.
