This session will provide an introduction to federal research grants for health economists. Participants will learn the processes and procedures of applying for federal research grants, obtain tips and strategies in developing strong applications, hear candid perspectives from study section members who review applications, and learn about the research priorities of federal agencies including the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), the National Institute on Aging (NIA), the National Institute on Alcohol and Alcoholism (NIAAA), and the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).
